Dormitory Fees and Check Out Procedures

Fees

Student dormitories are managed by the Student Services Center. The final cost is to be determined, the following is an estimate based on the costs from 2014-2015.

Full time students: 9600 RMB/year for a single room and 3600 RMB/year for a double room
Exchange students: 4800 RMB/semester for a single room and 1800 RMB/semester for a double room. 

 

Students must pay their dormitory fee in full at the Campus Service Center or by electronic transfer to the Financial Services Office by July 20th of every academic year. Graduating students who are not checking out of their dorms for the subsequent year may apply for summer housing at the Campus Service Center. Summer housing is not guaranteed and will be allocated based on availability.

Note: Please note that there are NO SHORT TERM HOUSING options available at PKU Shenzhen. If you are returning to defend your thesis and plan to stay for more than a month, payment must be made for the entire semester. If you are planning to stay for less than a month, accommodation cannot be provided on campus. You will have to arrange for your stay elsewhere.

Check-out Procedure

All dormitory keys, water/electricity cards, AP router, and AC remote control must be returned to the Campus Service Center during office hours. After an overall cleaning and inspection of the room, students must sign to confirm the check-out procedure has been completed. The student is responsible for paying any outstanding fees and compensation for room damage (prices as stipulated by University Town).
