With the holiday season upon us, some festive PHBS students organized a fund rising Christmas movie night. The event organized on December 15th was planned to spread Christmas cheer and raise money for the students of “4:30 School” with the Nanyan Volunteer Association. The movie night was a resounding success offering delightful cookies and mulled wine to all who attended. This introduction to European Christmas traditions left the attending guests with a belly full of treats and a smile on their face. Above all, the true Christmas spirit of PKU students and faculty was demonstrated as they generously donated money to support a shopping trip for Santa and his elves. The money raised went to a plethora of gifts and goodies for the children of “4:30 School” centre. As was expected Santa caused quite the stir at the community centre, but left the children smiling and happy which is after all what Christmas is all about.
