PKUSZ Welcomes International Exchange Students for Spring 2015

Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School warmly welcomed 30 new international students for a Spring semester at either the HSBC Business School or the School of Transnational Law. On February 26-27, the students arrived from 13 different countries all over the world, while a few had just finished travelling around China or Southeast Asia. Upon arrival, students were greeted and assisted by 4 Campus Community Advisors to check into their dormitories and receive welcome orientation materials including Survival Chinese booklets, maps, mobile SIM cards, etc.

The exchange student orientation continued later to include a trip to IKEA, local bank account setup assistance, a University Town and Pingshan Village tour, and a guided trip to the city center via public transport. Despite being in Shenzhen for less than a week, students are quickly adapting to life here in China and at BeiDa: meals by Mirror Lake, street barbecue in Tanglang, nights at KTV and even WeChat proficiency.
