Universidad Andres Bello Visits PKUSZ on China Tour

On Monday, March 16, 2015, a delegation of four faculty and five students from Universidad Andres Bello in Santiago, Chile arrived at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School as a stop in their two week tour across China.
After their arrival, they first met with Professor Qing Wang of Peking University HSBC Business School’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Professor Wang introduced the Center’s strategies and purpose while those of the Chilean delegation introduced their own projects and experiences with fostering entrepreneurship among students.
The second stop in their visit to PKUSZ was the PKU School of Environment and Energy (SEE), where the delegation was warmly welcomed by Vice Dean Zhang Guoliang (张国梁) and Kelly Hu. Vice Dean Zhang explained the Air Pollution Index that is displayed in the SEE lobby and demonstrated its handy WeChat integration. Afterwards, was a tour of the SEE facilities and brief introduction of research projects by various SEE professors.
Then the group headed back to the PHBS building to meet with Professor Terrill Frantz who introduced PKU HSBC Business School, and Dr. Sai Lan, the Associate Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. What followed was an exchange of experiences, ideas and potential ways to cooperate in the future. At the end of the trip one of the Chilean student visitors spoke to Professor Frantz’s Managing China Cross-Border Development class.
After their morning at PKUSZ, the group headed for coffee at Starbucks and went on their way to finish the final leg of their Shenzhen visit. Many thanks to PHBS and SEE for their help in making this a successful visit!
