On December 21st, the 2024 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Dance Sport Open was held at the Honghuashan Sports Center in Guangming. The event was guided by the Guangdong Social Sports and Training Competition Center, organized by the Guangdong Dance Sport Association, and co-hosted by the Shenzhen Guangming District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and the Shenzhen Guangming District Dance Sport Association. The competition received strong support from all sectors of society, attracting not only outstanding dancers from the Greater Bay Area but also elite participants from across the country to this grand dance event, drawing 128 teams and nearly 1,500 participants who gathered in Guangming to forge friendships through dance. Meanwhile, the exciting atmosphere of the competition attracted nearly 4,000 spectators, with the performers' exquisite dance skills and seamless coordination winning rounds of applause from the audience.
This event not only provided a platform for dance sport enthusiasts in the Greater Bay Area to showcase their talents and strengthen friendships but also injected new vitality into the development of dance sports in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting sports and cultural exchange and furthering integration and development in the region's sports and cultural sphere.
The Dance Sport Team of the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School Student Art Troupe trained diligently and prepared seriously for the competition. Their efforts were rewarded with multiple awards in this competition.
