A welcoming session and student club recruitment event for the Class of 2025, organized by the School of Environment and Energy at Peking University Shenzhen, successfully took place on the evening of 26 August.

The event included an orientation session, ice-breaking games, and introductions to student organizations, creating a lively atmosphere that helped new students integrate into campus life and learn about school culture. Ms. Feng Ning, a representative from the School of Environment and Energy, warmly welcomed the newcomers and provided a comprehensive overview of academic and campus resources to help them adapt and plan their new life at PKU Shenzhen.

Wei Li, President of the “Green+” Association, delivered a presentation titled “What Does Green+ Bring to Us?” She introduced the association’s development and signature initiatives spanning “Green + Campus,” “Green + Society,” and “Green + International,” highlighting its active role in promoting environmental awareness and cross-border collaboration. With the release of its new logo, she noted, the “Green+” Association has entered a new phase of development, and she warmly invited the Class of 2025 to join. The club also organised several lucky draws during the session, giving away stylish PKU merchandise such as umbrellas, mugs, and custom leaf carvings, which sparked enthusiastic participation among the attendees.

The event concluded on a warm and cheerful note. It not only strengthened the new students’ sense of belonging but also offered a valuable opportunity to learn about and engage with student organizations.
