Adelegation of professors and staff members from the Korea University Business School (KUBS) visited Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) on January 11, 2017. Among the delegates was KUBS Dean Soo Young Kwon, who was a visiting Professor at PHBS last year.
After being welcomed by the staff of the MA PHD program office, they proceeded to Room 509 where they were formally welcomed by Dean Hai Wen and Assistant Dean Young Joon Park. Afterwards the delegates listened to a lecture by Dean Hai Wen on “China’s Economy in the “New Normal”: Current Economic Situation and Future Development”.

The delegates were showed vast interest in the subject and participated in a question and answer portion at the end with Dean Hai Wen. In attendance were also faculty members of PHBS.

The highlight of this visit was when PHBS and KUBS signed a memorandum of understanding, where that they will begin an exchange students program in 2017. Opportunities for research collaboration between the two schools are also being planned.

Following a short break, both schools proceeded to the networking session. Assistant Dean Young Joon Park introduced PHBS and faculty, while Associate Dean Jaehwan Kim introduced KUBS and their faculty. A formal discussion was followed where they discussed exchange opportunities between faculty and students.
After a group photo, the delegates were given a tour of PHBS by staff members of the MA-PHD Program office. The delegates expressed their thanks to everyone who was involved in making their visit a successful one.

th worldwide in the Business and Economics league table “The World University Rankings 2016-2017 by Subject,” released by UK’s Times Higher Education (THE). KUBS has also been ranked first place in South Korea by exclusively having been listed in the top 100.
