On the morning of June 30, 2024, the 2024 commencement ceremony of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School was held in the floor -2 Lecture Hall of the HSBC Business School. This year, PKUSZ has a total of 1,202 graduates, including 1,109 master's students and 93 doctoral students, among which there are 90 international students and students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Nearly 500 family members of the graduates were specially invited to attend this graduation ceremony.

The commencement ceremony slowly commenced amidst enthusiastic applause. The opening performance featured students from Peking University Affiliated Primary School. They performed a dance to the song "Red Flowers" which injected boundless vitality and energy into the ceremony. The top ten singers on campus, representatives of the graduates, and students from the Peking University Affiliated High School all took the stage to sing songs such as "Little Happiness", "Walking in the Rain", and "Youth", conveying their longing and vision for the future. Students from the PKUSZ and the Peking University Affiliated High School showcased the poetry and vitality of spring through the dance "Climbing the Spring Mountain". Their elegant and powerful dance added a bright splash of color to the graduation ceremony and extended beautiful blessings to the graduates who are about to embark on a new journey.

Graduates from seven colleges shared their stories with Nanyan Garden. Everyone expressed that they would shoulder the responsibilities of the times, driven by innovation and hard work, bravely face future challenges, and contribute their strength to the development of society.

Professor Xu Qiyong, Vice Dean of the School of Environment and Energy, spoke as a faculty representative. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and highly praised their hard work along the way. By sharing his feelings from attending his son's high school graduation ceremony, Xu Qiyong used emotional language to describe the mentors' reluctance and pride for the graduates. He stated that the road of life is like a marathon, long and full of various difficulties and challenges. He hoped that the students could grasp the rhythm, surpass themselves, keep their dreams alive, and persevere. He emphasized the Peking University spirit and responsibility that the students bear as "Peking University people" and wished them a bright future filled with dreams, light in their eyes, and strength under their feet.

Mr. Jiang Xilin, as an alumni representative, gave his blessings to the graduates. He recalled the intersection of his retirement and the students' graduation, sharing his insights and experiences as a Peking University person. He suggested that graduates should be down-to-earth and not be complacent about past achievements. Secondly, he emphasized the importance of being loyal and capable, encouraging graduates to face challenges positively in the workplace. Finally, he reminded everyone to pay attention to their health, control their weight and emotions, plan their time reasonably, and improve efficiency. Mr. Jiang Xilin also mentioned that it was the day of the "Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor" opening, taking this opportunity to wish every graduate a smooth journey.

Subsequently, the graduate representatives went on stage one by one, presenting flowers to the faculty representatives, including mentors, class teachers, administrative and support staff, expressing their highest respect and heartfelt thanks.

Zhang Jin warmly congratulated the 2024 graduates on their successful completion of their studies and expressed sincere thanks to people from all walks of life who care about and support the development of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. He encouraged graduates to use the energy field of Nanyaners to start a new entrepreneurial life. He hoped that graduates would have the world in their hearts, taking "patriotism and dedication" as the core of gathering entrepreneurial energy; always maintain the passion to set sail, taking "starting anew" as the refueling station for entrepreneurial energy; dare to be the first in the world, taking "blazing new trails" as the main battlefield for entrepreneurial energy. Through the deeds of three Peking University people, Deng Jiaxian, Xu Guangxian, and Ji Xianlin, he inspired graduates to integrate personal development into the national cause, embrace changes with an open and enterprising attitude, and boldly explore unknown fields. Finally, Zhang Jin expressed his best wishes to the graduates and welcomed them to return to Nanyan Yuan often.

With the ceremony complete, the graduates of Nanyan are ready to soar high and paint grand pictures of their bright futures. The Nanyan Choir, along with students from Peking University Affiliated High School and Primary School, sang "Yanyuan Qing" together. The 2024 Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School Commencement Ceremony concluded with the melody of "Yanyuan Qing." As the graduates embark on their journeys, may their sails be full, the stars guide their way, and every dream shine brightly in the river of time.
A week before the commencement ceremony, the campus set up several "graduation photo" check-in points, each filled with Nanyan characteristics, leaving unique memories for the graduates. Time flies, leaving many memories, and the Nanyan gift bag carries sentiments and intentions. The school prepared customized graduation souvenirs for each graduate, including a Nanyan graduation bear with each graduate's name printed on it; customized felt bags, graduation figurines, laptop bags, passport holders, baseball caps, etc. No matter where they are in the future, these graduation gifts will be the emotional bond connecting them with NanyanYuan, keeping the memories of Nanyan always by their side.
