The Executive Dean of Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) Professor Vincent Chang and the Assistant Dean of PHBS Prof. Haifeng Huang recently visited Europe with the targeted purpose of establishing a newseries of international cooperation programs with business schools in Europe. During their visit, Professors Chang and Huang were also invited by the leaders of the European Union and some other international academic institutions to participate in international events and activities which further promoted the academic exchange and cooperation between PHBS and the institutions in Europe.
On the 19th of January, Professors Chang and Huang visited St. Gallen University and reached a consensus with Mr. Christopher Morch, head of St.Gallen Symposium. Students from PHBS will be regularly nominated to attend the Global Young Leaders Conference.Every year 250 young representatives will be selected from the thousands of applicants to go to St. Gallento meet with leaders in the fields of Politics, Academia and Business.On the morning of January 20th, Prof. Chang met with JuergenBruker, Dean of the International department at St. GallenUniversity Business School,in order to discuss student exchange programs.

On the third day, the professors visited the University of Luneburg, Germany.The pair were warmly welcomed by the students and staff there and were invited to give lectures. Prof. Chang first gave a brief and vivid introduction of PHBS, and was followed by Prof. Huang who presented both in German and English on the topics of the transition of the Chinese Economy and the importance of studies related to China.The speakers at the meeting encouraged the students to actively participate, giving the session a collaborative atmosphere. The feedback from attendees was encouraging. After the lecture, some students continued their active discussions about the international exchange program at PHBS.

Early on the morning of 22ndJan., Professors Chang and Huang visited Ruhr University in Bochum. The students and staff had the opportunity to talk face to face with the professors and learned much about PHBS international programs. Altogether there were five rounds of talks on that day.

On the next day, the professors visitedVUB-Vrije Universiteit Brussel (a Dutch-speaking university located in Brussels, Belgium).The pair presented a meaningful lecture on the university campus.

On the morning of 24th Jan., Prof. Chang visited the Headquarters of the European Union (EU) which is also located in Brussels, the capital of Begium. Moreexchange and joint programs between PHBS and the EU were conducted. During this visit, PHBS, as the only representative of Asian universities, joined the pedagogical exhibition organized by the European Voice.
