The new semester has begun for three months, our freshmen have gradually adapted to their new life in Nanyan. How's their impression of Nanyan? What about their plans of living in the future? We warmly welcome new students into the PKU family. At the same time, we interviewed several of them. With their descriptions, you can feel the excitement and enthusiasm they bring. They shared their different thoughts and wishes about their most expected life in Nanyan. Let's hear their opinions now and get to know their objects and thoughts about life in Nanyan and the future!

What impressed me the most is the good learning environment and rich teaching resources in Nanyan. An obvious feeling is that the classmates around me are outstanding and we have a lot of common topics, teachers here are practical and serious, and the courses are more in-depth and cutting-edge.
My expectations for my time at Nanyan are not only to get theoretical knowledge but also practical experience through internships, I wish I could have more chances to put what I have learned into practice.
In the first year of postgraduate study, I hope to deeply study the fields I am interested in and find the future direction of career development.

Nanyan is beautiful, like a park. When I walked through the alumni forest for the first time, the banyan branches looked like an excellent alumnus waving at me from a distance, which was moving and reassuring. Although academic life is very tense, the atmosphere is not monotonous. The students are smart and lovely, and the teachers are kind. I have gradually adapted and am loving the life here.
I want to make academic progress, learn new knowledge every day, and keep making progress all the time. I also hope to cultivate an independent, sound, and excellent personality through high-pressure life and learning from excellent students, so as to be more self-discipline, being gentler and better at communication, expression and understanding.
For the first year, I hope to survive my intense studies, learn a lot about common law, broaden my horizons, as well as exercise my ability of independent thinking and critical thinking. Then, I hope that I can make many good friends in the first year! Lovely friends are an important driving force in my life!

What impressed me the most was the scenery of Nanyan. The teaching building and Mirror Lake are very beautiful. Next to the wildlife park, the air there is pure and fresh. Also, the senior brothers and sisters who warmly received me and helped me quickly adapt to my life in Nanyan.
I hope my time in Nanyan is meaningful. I can learn some chemical experimental skills and theoretical knowledge, and I also want to meet some new friends. In my spare time, I can go out and explore more scenic spots in Shenzhen and around.
I plan to learn more about operations in the laboratory in the first semester, and then participate in some clubs and sports activities to meet some new friends. In the second semester, I will take more theoretical courses on the main campus, participate in some societies, and enjoy the different cultural atmosphere of PKU in Beijing.

When I first came to Nanyan, what impressed me the most was the environment here and the warm atmosphere of the whole school. The greening is excellent, and the whole campus feels like a park! On the first day, I was actually worried that I was not going to fit in, but the teachers, colleagues, and other staff provided me with great help. It makes me feel that starting a new life in Shenzhen is a good choice~
I hope that I can find my goal for future life in the graduate study here, at least to figure out what I am really interested in. Meanwhile, I look forward to doing some meaningful activities here in the Nanyan English team :) and it would be better if I can make some good friends here!
Based on the intensive study of STL, I only hope that I can survive the first year and try my best to meet the expectations from professors.
